I just got back from meeting my Mom and Bob in Greece this past week. It was so fun! We have always wanted to go there and we were not disappointed! We flew into Athens and stayed there a couple of days then went on a cruise through some of the Greek Isles and then back to Athens for 2 days. The weather was extremely HOT but that was good because it hasn't been warm here at all. We hiked up Acropolis and saw the stadium where the 1896 Olympics were held and lots of other historic places. We saw the changing of the guards in Athens, walked through the Plaka with TONS of souvenir shops, and ate lots of good Greek food! On the Islands we got to learn some traditional Greek dances, wind around VERY narrow roads on shuttle buses, do a wine tasting, go to the beach, bargain for souvenirs, and attempt to learn some Greek words. It was a great trip that flew by and it was great to see my family!
Now its back to work on Monday...
